ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

Yunnan Black Rose is no ordinary variety. Its origins can be traced back to the last century, when it was carefully cultivated by horticulturists as a double-petal rose variety. It is named for its deep, ink-like color. It is only grown in specific regions of the Yunnan plateau, where the high altitude, large temperature differences between day and night, and pure mountain spring irrigation allow the Black Rose to accumulate far more nutrients than ordinary roses.

Local farmers tend to these flower fields, adhering to traditional hand-picking methods—harvesting half-opened blossoms only in the early morning when dew still clings to the petals. At this time, the roses emit their strongest fragrance and contain the most nutrients. They are then naturally air-dried to preserve their essence, with each blossom embodying the bounty of the land and the patience of time.
