ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

The history of drinking lavender tea is closely tied to Europe’s herbal traditions. The ancient Romans used lavender for its calming and flavoring properties, while medieval monasteries included it in their herbal compendiums for relieving fatigue and improving sleep. In the 19th century, with the rise of lavender cultivation in Provence, this tea with its subtle floral aroma gradually transitioned from medicinal use to everyday consumption, becoming a beloved herbal tea across Europe and the world. Its soothing properties have also secured its place in wellness culture.

When making lavender tea, dried lavender flower spikes are typically used, which should first be sorted to remove any impurities. Place a small amount of flower spikes into a teacup or teapot, pour in hot water at 85–90°C (water that is too hot may cause the aroma to become bitter), steep for 3–5 minutes, then strain the tea liquid. Since lavender has a strong aroma, it is best not to use too much. If you prefer a milder taste, you can add honey or a few slices of lemon for flavor. You can also mix it with other herbs like mint or chamomile to create a more layered floral aroma.
